POLISH REGULATIONS CONCERNING OVERSIZE TRANSPORT

Oversize transport (abnormal load / transport) refers to the transport of those loads that, together with a vehicle or a set of vehicles, exceed the dimension or weight norms specified in the provisions of the Road Traffic Act.

In accordance with the Road Traffic Act and the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of January 21, 2021, in Poland, non-standard vehicles should be driven on the basis of an oversize transport permit. Permits are issued by Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad (GDDKiA) (the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways) (sometimes by the County Office, the City Hall or the Customs and Tax Office). According to the new classification, since March 13, 2021, categories I-V permits have been used. More information on the GDDKiA website.
